Monteverdi’s four part mass will be sung during services of Holy Communion at two Cotswold churches, St Peter’s Leckhampton (Sunday 24 October, 18:00) and Turkdean Parish Church (Sunday 5 December, 18:00). Monteverdi’s unaccompanied four-part Mass (SV190) is a renaissance masterpiece of outstanding beauty and serenity. The choir will be Cantabile, which comprises members of the Cantores Chamber Choir and friends. For St Peter’s Leckhampton no tickets are required; there will be a retiring collection in aid of the church.
